Tae: Isang Alegoriya

Ang akala mo'ng kakampi na si Kuko ay isang Keso de Bola pala. Sa labas ay pula pero ang totoo, sa loob ay dilaw pala. Kaya siguro parang pinipigilan niyang magsalita si Chonggo ay dahil natatakot siyang lumabas ang tunay niyang kulay. Isa palang traydor si Kuko. Dapat mag-ingat sa kanya si Tatay.

Dahil sa ginawang sayaw ni Mukha at ng kanyang kaibigan, nagalit si Kuko dahil isa daw itong insulto para sa Lupang Sinilangan. Ngunit, sino ba ang hangal sa lipunan? Di ba yung mga nagpapanggap na disente tulad ni Abunoy na akala mo'y malinis, mas madumi pa pala sa taeng dilaw na kanyang kinabibilangan!

Bumalik tayo kay Kuko. Akala ko ba Pula ang kanyang puso, bakit parang dilaw ang kanyang dugo? Tayo ba ay kanyang inuuto? Ako lang ba o ikaw ang nalilito? Bakit niya binabara si Chonggo? May naaamoy ba kayong mabaho? Natatakot ata itong si Kuko na mabuko!

Siguro kung titignang mabuti, mas may ginagawa pa si Mukha para sa bayan, di tulad ng mga nasa taas tulad ni Lugaw, Saba Queen, Abunoy, AntiVeros, Bambini, Kiko Matsing, Baboylon, at Thrililing, puro panunuligsa ang alam gawin. Marumi nga bang babae si Mukha? May kababuyan nga ba siyang ginawa? Oops teka, ating isa-isahin itong mga buwayang halang ang kaluluwa!

Si Lugaw, uhaw na uhaw sa kapangyarihan ni Tatay. Ang taas ng pangarap. Puro mali ang hinahanap. Siya ba'y walang ginagawa o nagpapakasarap? Gusto atang mag-artista? Bakit puro interviews at Pa-Press Con ang ginagawa?

Kay Saba Queen na naman tayo.. Kita mo nang may kasalan talaga, ayaw pa ring magpaputol ng sungay! Pati Simbahan dinadamay. Todo kampi naman itong mga Maruruming Pari sa Anay!

Si Thrililing na animoy baliw. Isa syang sundalong kanin! Ginagawa niya'y hindi dapat purihin! Isa siyang rebelde na dapat tapusin! Naghahanap ng gusot at puro palusot. Tanga ba itong si bansot? Kita mo naman ngayon, mga propesyonal, umaangal sa kanyang desisyon! Dapat sa kanya, turuan ng leksyon!

Si AntiVeros na mukhang virus. Ano ba ang tunay niyang layunin. Pati kalusagan natin, balak niyang Kurakutin. Ano pa ba ang gusto niyang huthutin? Nag-aastang disente na nakasalamin!

Si Kiko Matsing na magaling. Maayos naman sana ang kanyang layunin pero ang hirap lang isipin, bakit sa Dilaw na Tae pa rin sya dumadalangin? Bakit hindi niya nalang suportahan ang Tatay natin? Sabi nga sa kanta ni Ultra Mega Star, "unti-unting mararating.. kalangitan at bituin..."  Bakit hindi nalang sya umayon sa ating mithiin? 

At naku... itong si Baboylon! Bakit ba natin siya binigyan ng pagkakataon? Binigyan ulit natin sya ng kapangyarihang pamunuan tayo. Ewan ko lang ha.. hindi ko naman sya pinili. Bakit ba siya nagwagi? Teka teka... May problema yata ang Matalinong Makina.. May nangyaring dayaan ba? Ano ba talaga ang ginagawa nitong si Baboylon? Natutulog lang naman ito tuwing may diskusyon! Anak ng Baboy, ba't ito nanalo sa Eleksyon?

Hala... Oo nga pala. Nakalimutan ko si Bambini, mga madla... Si Bambini ay... 👊

Zed (a short story)

Hi! I’m Zed. Let’s just say I’m a happy-go-lucky guy and I’m a Fourth Year Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management student of Southern Country College (SCC). I really love foods and I wanna marry them!

Though I have a huge craving about foods, I am awesomely not fat. I’m actually fit. Yeah.

Girls love brawny hunks so I work out in the gym regularly. Aside from munching, 

I also love partying and bar-hopping. I like to go out with my buddies and have some shots. The nights are my days.

Night time means fun time!

“Honey… The sun is really scorching hot today. Bring your umbrella and wear your hoodie. And oh! Don’t forget to wear a sunglass!”

Oh, that’s my mom! She’s a really really really protective mom! She manages my dad’s

small businesses. Oh, I forgot to tell you… My dad is dead… My mom told me that he was

stabbed by a drunken man… Blah blah blah… It was a very long story… Anyway… 

I have to go now. I don’t want to be late. Late? Oh no! I’m late!

“Mom! I gotta go…”

“Okay… Take care… Don’t let the sun bite you… I love you, honey!”

School time!

Speaking of school… Darn! I so hate school! I’d rather sleep than hearing the maddening

voices of our teachers. I don’t understand why I need to go to school. I mean, I can live without it. If it wasn’t for mom, I would not give a damn about it. My mom is my motivation. Look at me now! I’m on my senior year. Oh yes… I’m almost there!

By the way… I notice that SCC has a lot of hot girls. I don’t know why these ladies are insanely

addicted to me. I hate science but I am now starting to believe that there’s a

magnetic force and I’m the magnetic field. Well… It’s in my blood. My mom said that my dad was a chick magnet. Of course, his son has his blood. What do you expect?

Paano Pumasa sa Librarians Licensure Exam "the JOLO way!"

1. Naging Best Bro ko to while self-reviewing. Napakalaking tulong nito sa akin. Actually, my cousin gave it to me last April 2016 as graduation gift and during that time almost sold out na to. Wala nang available copies nito sa Davao and other bookstores sa Mindanao. Good thing! Sa Manila nagtatrabaho pinsan ko so yun! Tumalas isip ko dahil dito!

2. Ako maka-online talaga ako. Di ako mahilig magbasa ng libro ( but I enthusiastically read periodical articles). Pause muna sa FB and other social networking sites. Ayun! Nagsearch ako ng mga online quizzes on Library and Information Science and luckily I found the sites that really helped me a lot. I wanna share these sites to you... Sana makatulong!

3. Payong kapatid lang ha. Wag ka talagang magpagutom. Kumain ng marami. Mas gumagana kasi utak ko pag busog eh so ayon. I never skip meals talaga! :)

4. Kung out of stock na si Chuckie, kay Vitamilk na naman ako. Itong dalawang to talaga ang nilalaklak ko everytime esp. nung nag-self review ako! Choco is pampatalas ng isipan!

5. Walang magandang mapupuntahan ang pagiging NEGA! Being pessismistic will just lead you to major downfall kaya be positive! Laban lang! Isipin mo na magkakatarpaulin ka din sa labas ng School!

6. Masasabi ko talaga na ADIK ako sa DOTA 2! Mula noon hanggang ngayon, ito talaga naging sandalan ko. Best bud ko to eh! Noong pressured ako sa LLE, heartbroken, stressed, at disappointed, siya talaga ang naging loyal sa akin! Hindi nya ako iniwan! 

7. My Southern Christian College's Library System Family! Todo Support tong mga to sa akin! Thank you so much for your encouragements! Lumakas lalo loob ko dahil sa kanila. Before ko sila naging katrabaho, naging instructors ko muna sila! Kaya kayo dyan, gawin niyong sandalan ang mga katrabaho niyo!

8. Ang SCC LIBRARY SYSTEM talaga ang naging sanctuary at haven ko noon. This library has massive resources especially yung mga books on Library and Information Science. Updated lahat! Nakakarelax lang din kasing tumambay sa lugar na ito. Nakakatalino din kahit papano! Kaya kayo dyan, wag kalimutang bumisita sa library. Kung may Gym para sa Katawan, may LIBRARY din para sa UTAK!

9. MY TREASURED SIBLINGS. Sila talaga ang pangunahing inspirasyon ko. Isa sila sa mga motivations ko kaya ako pumasa!

10. As suggested by a friend, effective daw to. Katoliko ako. I am not saying na ginagawa naming Diyos ang mga santo. They are our ways or instruments to communicate with the Almighty One. Binisita ko talaga ang Parish before and after the LLE. You can find this parish at Malvar St., Davao City.. Malapit lang sa Davao Doctors Hospital.

11. Matalino ka nga, wala ka namang pananampalataya! FAITH is very powerful. Pray to God. Ask his guidance! He will grant you the knowledge and wisdom that you need. Don't be afraid. Just believe!

All About the National Archives of the Philippines

 QUESTION: What is your impression on the purpose and mission of NAP?

ANSWER

 I really appreciate the purpose and mission of the National Archives of the Philippines. This institution is really a big help to our country because it aims to augment transparency, public responsibility and genuine governance. Furthermore, what I like about this establishment is that it upholds freedom of information (FOI), provide access to official records, and preserve and popularize Filipino cultural heritage so that we can make these relevant records available for future purposes and endeavors.

 QUESTION: Who do you think is the primary clientele of NAP?

ANSWER:

Since this archival institution is a national establishment, I think the primary clientele of NAP are the Filipino people. As what its mission says that it aims to promote freedom of information, it should be open to the public. Those Filipinos who want to conduct research studies or other educational related activities, the NAP is the perfect place to visit and explore.

QUESTION: What useful information did you find at the website?

ANSWER:

While navigating the pages of the website, I was surprised because there is a lot of useful information you can access like archival records of the Government and other primary sources pertaining to the history and development of the Country.  You can also find there the list of records that can be traced back to at least the 19th Century when the Spanish colonial government and the American colonial government in the Philippines. It also embeds the General Records Schedule of the Government. Aside from its Records Management and Reference Services, it provides Technical Assistance and Continuing Education services to the general public.

QUESTION: What did you expect to find that was not there?

ANSWER: 

I don’t know if the documents or articles authored or recorded by Dr. Jose Rizal and other records of the prominent writers can be accessed through the website. I really want to read some of those but I can’t locate them through the website. Maybe I just have to explore more.

QUESTION: How would you evaluate the website in terms of content, services offered, ease of use, and navigation?

ANSWER: 

When it comes to content, I commend the website because it embeds relevant and historical documents that are useful especially when you want to conduct research or just do some educational related activities. It’s really an excellent site because it promotes information literacy and upholds freedom of information.

When it comes to the services offered, what I really love is that it offers various services like Archives Preservation, Archives Collection and Access, Records Management Services, Reference Services, and Technical Assistance and Continuing Education services to the general public. The site is easy to navigate or browse. I find it easy to locate every feature it provides. Though there’s a little bit difficulty at first, I still love the site because it’s easy to navigate. Overall, the site is very useful and relevant especially in today’s generation.
